Can BB caps be taken from the US to Australia?

I'm currently in the US, visiting from Australia. A friend of mine would like me to bring him back some BB caps and I was wondering if it will be confiscated at the airport?

well BB guns are actully ilegall in australia...I was asked if I had one when I came home from Japan a few years ago (randomly)

i think you may ne able to get a permit for it....but it may be costly.

You need a special permit to import them. The following link refers to the import of BB guns:

Ammunition for use with these firearms, such as plastic pellets, also requires a B709A Form in order to be imported.

Yes, you can bring Baseball caps...However, you cannot bring BB's for firearms...  Read this link
