I have had gum sitting in a bag full of change and so they have become sticky over time with the heat and I have no idea how to clean them off now. I saw in a movie called 'Running With Scissors' the boy was doing it, but wanted to know if someone knew off hand before I tried it.

  1. put it in the freezer then chip it off!

  2. soak them in vinegar

  3. Only way to take it all off is to freeze it. It will come off clean.

  4. try using peanut butter or put the coins in ice cold water then peel the gum off.

  5. I don't know if boiling water would work but I guess it would be worth a try.  If not, go to a craft store and try to find something that they use for correcting scrapbooking mistakes.  I think it is called undo'.

  6. oddly- lighter fluid takes off gummy residue- we use to use it all the time to remove gummy residue from price stickers at work.

maybe freezing and it will crack off---boiling water might work- but seems like it would make it gooier.

Goo Gone...is another gum remover that works.

  7. If no gum is stuck and just is from its oils them yes soap and hot water with take it off.

Do not use a nonstick pan.

heat the water  and shut of the heat. then place about 3 tablespoons of dawn soap in the pan and place the coins in. Let sit for 15 minutes and then wash them like you would a dish with a rag.

  8. try hydrogen peroxide or toothpaste
