Can Bangladesh beat Australia in the T20 world cup match
Cricket they say is a funny game, I would say more ironic, statistically Bangladesh playing Australia in a T20 format is more of an even contest then one would imagine. Believe it or not Bangladesh is seeded higher than their more accomplished opponents the 5 time world champions in the t20 format of the game. Logically speaking it should be a no brainer, but that is not exactly how things turn out in t2o cricket.
Bangladesh has not done anything close to well against Australia in the 50 over format but looking at their lineup as the gutsy performance they put up against Pakistan one would be forgiven for expecting another fairytale Bangladesh win. Rest assured Australia are here to play, arguably world's best team are itching to get the t20 monkey off their back. They have won all there is in the world of cricket but this t20 world Cup has eluded them twice. Michael Clarke and his men look to be out on a mission this time round, putting aside their defeat to Zimbabwe in a warm up game, their performance against Pakistan was simply outstanding. If that is anything to go by, then Aussies should be considered out and out favorites to take the T20 crown this time round.

Unlike the previous years, Australia has a new leader and t20 specialists such as younger brother of Mr cricket David Hussey and the explosive opener David Warner. Both of whom have scored heaps of runs in the domestic t20 tournament known as the big bash. Australia will also be relying on Cameron White one of the most feared hitters in world cricket today who seems to be built purely for this game. On the bowling front, pace battery of Shaun Tait, Mitchel Johnson Drik Nannes is by far the most quickest and most potent bowling attack in the world. The pacers are so good, Dougie Bollinger could not even make it into the side, while Ryan Harris is waiting on the sideline for his turn.
As for Bangladesh their most potent batsman in t20 or any other format of the game, has to be Muhammad Ashraful the former captain who has the natural ability to take apart any attack in the world. Captain Shakib Al Hassan who was also named Wisden's player of the year last season is more than capable with the bat and with his left arm spinners. Don’t count out Tamim Iqbal at the top who has the ability to give a brisk start if he chooses his strokes with caution.
Realistically speaking a Bangladesh win is very unlikely but even a simple win would not be enough for them to proceed to the next round, as they lost their first match against Pakistan.
Australia meanwhile needs just a win to assure their place in the super 8 stage and also top the group.
