Can Bing Cherry branches be grafted onto a Wild Cherry tree?

Will they take and produce Bings?

  1. They should be compatible, so they CAN be and they WOULD produce Bings or any other variety you choose as scion, if you can master the technique of budding. Kinda tricky. Takes practice. Might as well try it. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

    Now's the time, though, if you've got another tree, or a friend who will let you take buds.

    You will need VERY sharp instruments and good hygiene.

    There are some good diagrams at the link below.

    I don't think they emphasize keeping it clean enough, but that's just me.
