Can Bold Sir Brian win graded events?
A lot of young stallions have been trying to make a name for themselves in horseracing over the past few years, but some of them have not found it easy to adjust, as the sport is not an easy one at all.
The contestants need to be fit and fully focussed in order to win races with consistency. They are required to do a lot of hard work, which finally enables them to compete in the sport.
Winning races is one thing, and doing that at the highest level is another. It is important for all of the runners to continue making progress throughout their careers otherwise they are not remembered as legends of the game.
Over the past many years, some stallions have been doing a very good job for their respective teams. One of them is Bold Sir Brian, who is making step by step improvement in his performances.
If he continues delivering solid results with consistency, he will soon be in a position to match the best in the business in graded events.
The six-year-old gelding is not new to the sport, as he debuted back in 2009. However, he represented his team in just one race during his maiden season. It was a class-5 contest and he was not expected to shine in it.
Despite that, the Lucinda Russell’s trainee did not panic under pressure and delivered a winning result for his team. He was helped by the wet track, as the favourite runner struggled to perform under such circumstances.
After such a strong start to his career, the A. R. Trotter’s owned gelding participated in selective events and his performances were always up to the mark.
Brian Boru’s son started participating in higher classes and managed to make his team proud in them. He maintained a pretty decent winning percentage and will aim to keep the positive trend going over the years to come.
Bold Sir Brian likes running over fences, as he has mostly appeared in chase contests. He has enjoyed the company of seasoned jockey, Peter Buchanan, whose performances in this format have been really impressive.
The pair will continue to fight for victories in higher classes in the coming years, as they understand each other well and have enjoyed a good time together.
