No........No british is welcome to buy property! You have to obtain Indian nationality for that you have to stay 5 years and become Indian. After that you can buy!

As per Indian law, no Foreigner is allowed to make an out right purchase properties in India ( including Kerala ). But you are free to make the investment up to even 100%, for the development of property. Subject to the condition the ownership is with an Indian Citizen or a Non Resident ( NRI ).
