And who else has a chance at the ton next year?

I think Buddy is the only likely one who might kick 100 next season, i think Roughead could but not playing for the same team as Buddy, and i think Fev will struggle to kick 80 next season.

  1. I agree that Fev might struggle as I think he is passing his peak now, and he is probably not as focused on the game as he used to be.

I really dont know about Buddy. I really think that his stellar year has got a lot to do with the fact that he hasnt been around all that long and other players and coaches have a lot of trouble reading him. I did notice that towards the end of the season as the Hawks faced teams a second time, he didnt have the run of goals that he had earlier in the year. But he is young and he can probably do it a second year, maybe even a third, provided that he doesnt get injured.

  2. Touch and go.

There are a number of factors involved including possible injuries and his consistency. Could just be a one season wonder.

  3. If Buddy was more consistent with his accuracy then he would almost be a certanty. I think if he keeps averaging 9 shots on goal per game as he did this season then he will be in with a real shot at it.

I think Fev will go close or get it next season, the midfiel at carlton is pretty good now and they deliver the ball well into the forward line. Carlton, unlike Hawthorn, have only got the one key forward in Fev so i think he's got just as good a chance of getting a ton next season.

  4. definately get close i would think maybe even better

  5. The guy would get 150 if he could kick straight.

  6. Well isure hope Buddy can kick another 100 next year, but anything is possible..All it would take is for him to be out for a few weeks and his chances of getting another 100 will be up in the air..

Why do you think Roughead won't be playing for the Hawks? You got some inside info have ya..lol

Fev well he will be trying even harder next year,i know there is no way in the world he would want to finish on 99 for 2 years in a row..

    Go Hawks!!!

  7. well from what i am told, he only kicked at something like 50% accuracy overall this year, so if he gets the same opportunities he did this year, but kicks straight, he could kick something like 140 goals! as for Fev, well sure why not, AFL could do with more guys kicking the ton, he might have to remove the 'toy' from monday first! lol

  8. Anything is possible, and yes that is one of the things that is possible. Buddy is a young player with another 8 or so years under his belt, and he can kick an immense amount of goals therefore kicking a 100 in a season - he has the strength to do so.

What you have stated about roughead is absolutley correct - poor jarryd roughead always goes under the spotlight even though he has kicked around 65 goals this season which is an oustanding achivement. If he was at another club he would have kicked at least another 10 or so goals because he would be the main forward that midfielders would kick to and not just a lurking forward.

  9. mabey though its hard to get more goals then 102 for any chance he needs to kick straight

  10. I think he can, because he kicking can only get straighter.

  11. buddy will (if he practises his kicking through the summer), and lets say Bradshaw from the Lions. why not. nobody last year expected franklin to do it this year
