Can CA state garnish wages in another state for a tax lien?

I have a state tax lien thats over 13 years old. I went to get it removed from my credit report and now CA wants to collect it. Can they cross over into another state and garnish my paycheck?

  1. With a court order they can garnish.  IRS is the only one that doesn't need a court order.
