He may only get 15 or so starts, but if the Brewers make the playoffs does anyone deserve it more?

  1. Yes because: Tim Lincecum is not on a winning team, and he has only 12 wins this season so cleary he isn't helping San Fransisco win games. There is no way Edinson Volquez should get it, he was a half year wonder before the all star break, and again Cincinnati is in the cellar in the NL Central. Brandon Webb also makes a good case too, because of 17 wins and low ERA, but the strikeouts aren't there. C.C. Sabathia's numbers are tainted because of an awful start and his team couldn't give him run protection. Once he got to Milwaukee everything changed, He has been lights out, 6 wins in just 7 starts, 4 CG, 1.58 ERA, 52 K's, and 12 BB's. None of the other contenders teams except Webb (Arizona), will make it to the playoffs. Then it comes down to Webb and Sabathia. Webb might have better head to head numbers, but Sabathia's ERA goes down every game, he picks up a win, and sometimes a complete game. He is also helping Milwaukee win more, as they have a much better record than Arizona. My final pick for the NL Cy Young: C.C. Sabthia. And I am a Cubs fan too!

  2. not when TIM LINCECUM  is in the league

  3. NO HE did bad in the beggining with the TRIBE!

  4. no webb has it this year

  5. it is going to be TIM LINCECUM in the NL and Roy Halladay in the AL.

if Sabathia pitched the entire season he would have been a top contender.....i was so lucky to trade justin durchscherer for sabathia when he just got traded to the brewers!! what  a trade that has been.

  6. no, webb wins they cy young this year.

  7. if he goes only loses 2 and has an outstanding era than yes

  8. Can he win it, yes!!  He is eligible to win the award.  Does he have a snow balls chance...no.  His getting a team that was in contention to the playoffs will have no bearing when discussing the entire season in which Brandon Webb has dominated and Tim Linecum has been extrememly impressive for a losing team.  But yes he COULD win it.

  9. The chances of Sabathia winning the Cy Young Award are pretty bad.  Short of him throwing a few no-hitters, Brandon Webb appears to be the most likely candidate to win.

  10. no, bronson arroyo is winning it all

  11. The Cy Young award is very win biased, it almost always goes to the player with the most wins rather than the one who goes more innings and has a better era.  Sabathia really has no chance, hes 6-0 in 7 starts and i doubt he'll even get 11 wins by the end of the season.  I guaruntee it goes to Webb, even though Lincecum deserves it

  12. only if he goes 15-0 with a non existant ERA in the NL otherwise he will be over looked

  13. If he continues to pitch as well as he has, he's got a GREAT chance at it.

Can you imagine if he'd been with the Brewers the entire year?

  14. He wont come close

  15. Basically hed have to complete game shut out everygame and maybe throw in a couple 1 and 2 hit balls games with 1 no hitter. Probably not possible. But if they had an American/National Interleague Cy young then hed win that but it doesnt exist sooooo..
