Can CEPHALEXIN [pills] delay my period? or make me skip it?

im taking cephalexin for mild acne.. and ive been taking it for about a month. my period didnt come so i was curious if thats why i didnt get it? && im also stressed out .. but still.. im asking about the pill?

  1. Cephalexin is an antibiotic, and while it can allow an opportunistic vaginal infection (yeast), it is not known for suppressing menstruation.

    If you're young, you might skip one every now and then.  Of course, if you are sexually active, you'd have to consider pregnancy as a possibility.

Antibiotics can lessen the effectiveness of birth control pills so if you missed you period, you could possibly be pregnant if you were sexually active.  Stress in extreme can cause you system to get out all of whack so that could be the problem also.   It might also just be coincidence that this happened at the same time.  Women can have disruptions in there cycle at any time really.
