  1. i dont think so b/c on yahoo sports they were talking about pavlik claiming all three class belts b/c he has the belts and dosent put them on the line against calzaghe and the fights taking place at 168.Also pavlik didnt have his belts on the line when he fought taylor at super middleweight so i think if calzaghe wins he just retains his 2 titles but if pavlik wins he would get all three .

  2. Yes, but the Pavlik fight would have to be fought at middleweight, and I don't think that will be the case.  I think that if and when they fight each other, the fight will be held at super middleweight.  The reason why, it COULD happen is because the Ring does not wrongfully strip their fighters if they want to defend belts in different weight divisions.  Only if Calzaghe permanently stays at one division and decides that he no longer wants to defend the title in another division, then the Ring will make the title vacant.  However, it should be noted that he would only be challenging for the middleweight belt if he got down to that weight and fought Pavlik.  Even if he lost that fight, he would still be the champ at 168 and 175 because those belts would not be on the line, but if he won the fight at 160, then he would own all three belts.  Example: when Diego Corrales got knocked out by Jose Luis Castillo in their rematch, he was still the champ at 135 because their rematch was fought at a weight above the lightweight limit because Castillo failed to make weight.  Here are the different scenarios:

Fight is held at 160 and Pavlik wins- Pavlik retains the middleweight title, but does not get Calzaghe's 168 and 175 pound titles because they weren't on the line.

Fight is held at 160 and Calzaghe wins- Calzaghe gains the middleweight title, and still holds on to his 168 and 175 pound titles because they weren't on the line (this is the only case where he could be champ in all three weight divisions).

Fight is held at 168 and Pavlik wins- Pavlik gains the super middleweight title, and still holds on to the 160 pound title because it wasn't on the line and Calzaghe holds on to the 175 pound title because it wasn't on the line.

Fight is held at 168 and Calzaghe wins- Calzaghe retains the super middleweight title, and still holds on to the 175 pound title because it wasn't on the line and Pavlik holds onto the 160 pound title because it wasn't on the line.

Fight is held at 175 and Pavlik wins- Pavlik gains the light heavyweight title and still holds on to the 160 pound title because it wasn't on the line and Calzaghe holds onto the 168 pound title because it wasn't on the line.

Fight is held at 175 and Calzaghe wins- Calzaghe retains the light heavyweght title, and still holds on to the 168 pound title because it wasn't on the line and Pavlik holds onto the 160 pound title because it wasn't on the line.

At least thats the way it should be unless the rules about being on weight for a championship fight have suddenly changed.

  3. no, he'll get knocked out by pavlik in super middleweight and knocked out by chad dawson, glen johnson, or antonio tarver at light heavyweight.

  4. Technically no officially yes. when henry armstrong won the 3 titles he won 3 legitamite weight classes. super middle was created later, it was not part of the original 8 divisions. so technically he could have 3 but officially he would only have one. think jr welterweight div and crusierweight, they have been around for a while, but they are not above the weights above them welter and heavy. mayweather is the welterweight champ and officially the jr welter weight since he vacated the title. like david haye is still the cruiser weight champ even though he is moving up to heavyweight. if he wanted to drop back down he claims the title since he was not defeated nor retired.

  5. i think pavilk would step up to super middle, he certinlly has the frame to hold the extra weight (unlike fighters such as hatton who struggle any time they move up weight).pavilk would be strong at super middle but it is an overall weak devision. Also, that calzaghe would struggle to fight at middle weight as he struggles to make it to 168 for SM.

But, apperently their is talks of a fight at 168 wich would be for all the title the fighters hold (the light-heavy RIng belt, Supper middle WBO, WBA, WBC, Ring belt & middle WBA, WBC & Ring titles!!!) . Seems rediculas that the light-heavy, super-middle & middle weight titles can be won in the same fight

  6. haha no the fight's going to be at supermiddleweight and by the way calzaghe is a bum.he wont fight roy jones jr,antonio tarver,,james toney or a young hopkins.he almost got ko'd by a 43 year old has been.pavlik will kick his @$$.so what he beat jeff lacy.lacy has  a glass jaw.
