  1. i've seen some on youtube that had some really surprising applications. check it out. it was a capoeira guy at a kyokushin school.

    but itll take a long time to learn and be good at im sure. and alot of their kicks are very telegraphic to me.


  2. Sure it can, it ha ssurvived this long for a reason.  Like any art, it is the artist, not the art that makes is effective.

    Having never been exposed to the art, it looks unconventional, unpredictable and probably very effective if taught well.

  3. Admittedly, I'm not an expert on this art, but I i have been learning about it. It like any other art can be very effective in any fight. It is not about being flashy as most people think. It is designed to look like a dance. Notice, I said look like. This was done so that the slave master's would know they were practicing fighting techniques. It has extremely deceptive techniques from close ranges and angles. Many of its move will catch the opponent off guard.

    If given the opportunity I would love to add some of its techniques to what i currently know.
