  1. yes

  2. yes, animals are very in tune to our feelings. They can sense if we're upset or down.A study has proven that people that have depression and have a pet will recover better with being in the company of a pet, rather than being on medication. If im feeling down or upset, my dogs will come up to see what's wrong and give me a big sloppy l**k or cuddle up to me.

  3. pfft, not my cat. She only likes men.

  4. I think it's whatever you think. Haha. Maybe we're fooling ourselves into thinking they do know, but really we're just being quite, and they think it's a good time to get pets. I like to think that they do.

However, there is no straight up evidence suggesting so.

  5. Oh, yes! Mine Goes downstairs when she knows I'm upset...

  6. yes, animal feel more than human.

    Pets animal love a lot.

I answer because i got a same experience.

  7. Yes they sure can both of my will come up and be with me when im feeling down. They have stayed by my side all night before.

  8. I think they do

  9. Yes they can. When I was younger, my Thomasina (R.I.P.) would curl up next to me and l**k my face when I was blue. If I was crying, she would purr as loud as she could to let me know she was there. She would even do her little cute things that she did to make me laugh. When I would pet her, I would be able to take her paw and she would grip my finger as if she was trying to hold my hand. She would make me melt so much that I would forget why I was upset for awhile.

  10. yep, apparantly if theyre close to their owner they can sence when something is wrong or not right

they usually do come up and compfort you

    cute isnt it? (:

they also do this when someone is sick or something really abd is going to happen

remember when they put a cat in a hospital and it came to the people and comfort them

then they all past away in about 5 hours

    they cat could sence something

or they could sense the angels :D

  11. Oh yes! when I cry, my cat comes miaowing next to me and puts the paw on top of my leg or shoulder.

I used to have a dog before and when I was crying it used to sit on my lap looking at me.x*x

  12. Absolutely! If I've ever felt down, all of my cats have come over to give me a cuddle. They can even sense when I'm not feeling well. I had a bad tummy bug last weekend and my cats came to keep me company in my bedroom and in the bathroom. One of them, Gus, even placed and kept his paw on my thigh when I was throwing up, he was definitely comforting me.

    Aren't cats amazing?! :)

  13. Babe i must be a cat because i know when people are upset.

  14. Yes, in the same way you can sense when a friend is upset even without them saying a word cats also do. Keep in mind your furry friend sees only a small handful of people, meaning it has nothing better do do with its mind than study the mannerisms of well... YOU. Your cat knows. Further, is it possible when you are feeling upset maybe you also are LOOKING for comfort so you notice the cat being around more at those times?

  15. Yes yes yes!!!! They absolutely do know when you are upset!!! My cats have always comforted me when I'm feeling down. Does that not say anything? My old horse Ricky used to know when I was upset also (even tho they reckon horses dont realy have emotions like us). I would come to his paddock from work, tired and upset, he would put his head close to me for a hug and nudge me, he always new. My cats come and sit on my lap when I am sad, even tho they dont normaly. My dog knows, he is a greyhound and comes up and nudges me. Even my birds that I used to own would fly on to my shoulder if I was in my room alone and sad.

I dont think I was looking for comfort, I think I got it because they just new.

    Hope this has helped, Jane.

  16. Most definitely.

  17. yes...most animals can tell if you're upset, or sick...

(some of my ferrets have snuggled with me when I'm upset...they know..)

  18. Yes absolutely. Case in point. My Maine Coon Mickey is not a lap cat and also does not like having her paws touched. Years ago I was in Australia with my Mum and Dad called us from home and he was very very upset about something and was quite emotional. My cat Mickey jumped up onto his lap and grabbed his hand with her paw and held it until he felt better. Recently when Mickey wasn't well and was at the vets I was very upset and emotional and my other cat Alby was very loving to me the whole week she was gone. He's usually loving but during this week he was over the top and very adorable. Happy to say though that Mickey is OK and Alby's toned down the love somewhat.

Dogs also do this I believe.

  19. Cat-to-cat communication is almost entirely through body language, so they're expert at that.  Yes, they can tell by your body language, your behaviour, your way of speaking that something isn't right.  Whether they're actually responding to that or are just taking the opportunity for a cuddle isn't certain . . . .

Ours will always turn his back on you when you're cross, because he can't meet your eye when you're upset.  Meeting your gaze is a challenge, and he doesn't want to do that while you're peeved.

  20. definitely! my cats always do it. they're very clever animals.

  21. Yes..animals can sense a lot of things.

  22. I think they might be able to. Animals are very clever - there are dogs that can apparently detect cancer as well.

  23. or course. all animals hav that ability. my rabbit's like that.
