  1. In less than a minute!!!

  2. One-on-one?  Easily.  China has the largest military in the world, and Japan only recently has been allowed to build up their military since being defeated in World War II.  If Japan goes to war with anybody, they will rely on the US to help them out.

  3. No. Not in a conventional war. Japan has an excellent Air Force with F-15's and F-2's (Japanese version of F-16). They also have a very modern Navy. Japan has a self defense force. This means that China would have to invade Japan. The Japanese Navy would slaughter the Chinese attempts. The Chinese have a huge Army, big deal. Do they plan on swimming over there? And you cannot forget that the USA will fight for Japan. Japan is the home of a massive US military presence.

  4. all out conventional? No. They do not have the navy or the airforce for it.

  5. China has the largest land based army. They can only move on land. No carriers to protect large convoys.

  6. Yes without much of a problem which is why Japan has treaties with the US and others to have some one backing them up.

  7. Yes

  8. At this point I don't doubt that they could. However Japan is now allowed to rebuild their navy/military to more than a defense force. Given a few years I doubt it would be done without nukes.

  9. in a conventional war no. In a nuclear war no. reasons the japanese use the best weapons we have they would slaughter the chinese air and naval forces. As the japanese are an island that is all they have to do. As for the nuke war well it just so happens that a lot of US military call Japan home so if you nuke japan well the US has no choice but to nuke china. Thus either way china loses.
