Nope. You are only classed as a muslim if you make a declaration of faith that is "I bare witness that there is no God but God and that Muhammad (pbuh) is the final messenger of God"

I think you will be hard pushed to find a christian or jew to state that.

They are muslims as they where all true in worship at the time they where alive as where all jews before christianity and all christians before Islam.

From Adam on all prophet and all believer in those prophets whether Jewish or Christian before Islam was revealed are classed by GOD as Muslims. They where not muslims when alive because Islam had not been revealed yet. If when alive they followed correctly Gods revelations and died they where true believers. Same for Chrisianity. So on judgement day they will be classed by God as Muslims got it? Because they followed Gods revelations while alive. Those alive now who do not follow Gods final revelations even if Jewish and Christian are not considered Muslims as they reject Muhammad as Gods final prophet. I know its seems complicated for your wee brain to comprehend but its quite simple really.

I dont have a chip on my shoulder but it sure sounds like you do. My mother is a christian my father a protestant my sister in law a catholic and my brother an athiest. And have nothing but love and respect for ever single one of them. If you are suggesting I am against other faith your wrong. There are many common aspects between these religions, but jews and christians aren't muslim.. because muslims believe in one Allah(God), and other such things.

Also if only submitting to God made us muslims, jew or christians, then we would all be from the same religion.

Also maybe in ur opinion u don't believe that Moses.Jesus, Adam, and other prophets (Peace Be Upon Them), are muslims or prophets, but muslims believe that they are.

Muslim in the religious sense e.g. following the Quran: "No".

Q1:  Both the Christian and Jews, being the people of the book have a responsibility to believe in ANY new Messengers and scriptures!

If your answer to the above question is "False", then my friend you are in the wrong place and you should study your book more carefully.

Q2:  If you are in doubt of Quran as divine, then I can understand your biasness towards sticking to your old philosophy e.g. Christianity OR Judaism.

However, if you are RELUCTANT to even Test the Quran as a divine scripture or are SCARED to accept it as from God. Then I guess you should ask the question to yourself, who is more worthy to be scared of e.g. your ego or God. For certain you are to be answerable to God on the day of Judgement. There you will not have the excuse to say "We did not study the Quran". OR "We were scared that it was from God".

In that case "MOST" Certainly you will NOT be a submitter (Muslim, in the literal sense).

This excuse can be valid ONLY for those who either:

1-  Did not get the opportunity to study the Quran.

2-  They were not convinced by the evidence of the time (era). Note: The Quran's evidence will keep coming in each time / era. Previously, it was the preservation (which will continue), Then the Haffaz (this will also continue), The scientific knowledge ahead of its time (still continuing), Code -19 (discovered in 1974, and still continuing).

The matter is that you and I can lie to the whole world saying that we are not convinced. But God knows, if inside us, we are or are not e.g. we cannot lie to ourself and to God. So it is really a matter of yielding to the Ego. Its a trial. Don't let the devil win on this one, else you are doomed.

In the Quran God states that both the Christians and the Jews, as long as they believe in God and the last day and stay righteous, they have nothing to fear nor to worry.

However, at the same time, God also mentions in the Quran that "His Mercy" is specific to those (among the people of the book) who will believe and follow the Gentile prophet, whom they find written in their Torah !!  Ref. 7:156 & 157.

Among the people of the book who fulfill the 7:157 the compensation promised is "Twice".  Ref. 28:52 to 54.

1-  I know that the Jews are waiting for the Massiah. But have they not wondered, if the Messiah has already passed.

2-  What is the basis of Christians. They are forming their beliefs on the gospels of men NOT messenger. So they can be in serious error.

3-  Even if the angel appeared to Mohammad. IT was ONLY Mohammad (among the humans) who knew it. This is MOST CERTAINLY NOT the basis or evidence of Quran.
