Question:

Can Clinique 3-Step cause a sudden blackhead breakout?

The Clinique 3-Step had been working wonderfully the first 4 months I used it. My skin tone had evened out, my skin was clearer and brighter, and I was really pleased with it. I had originally started using the system because I wanted to even out my skin tone and because I wanted to see if it would clear-up the blackheads under my skin. I noticed the blackheads slowly coming to the and then clear up, but the last 3 weeks have been crazy! My entire right cheek has broken out with blackheads and regular pimples at the surface. My skin has NEVER broken out like this before and I would think if it was the Clinique, it would have started earlier and not 5 months after using the system.

The only major change is that I recently got back on my Yaz birth control after a 6 month break. But Yaz actually helped my skin the first time I was on it, so I'm not sure that the birth control is having a major effect on my skin. Anyone have a similar experience?

  1. This is just the skin's natural way of ridding itself of the infected tissue underneath the surface. In other words, the bad parts are going up top because they are being cleaned from underneath.

Don't worry about this, once you are able to rid your skin of the surface infections, it will be clean and renewed to the bone. ~

Oh, and maybe next time, you should try this process during a time when no one needs to see you. xD
