I had a friend a few years back who used his computer like a phone and I've seen promos from free online calls but I have no idea how to use this service. Could someone explain how it works - if it works?

  1. Yes

  2. Yes. There are always programs which work, such as AIM.

  3. yes just type in free sms messaging.. there'll be tons of sites that do it

www.boltblue.com i think does it, u become a member first and u can also receive texts into an inbox....

  4. Yea. Well the easiest thing to do is get your phone and send a text message to your email. The get on your e mail and check the message and whatever is in the From: part that is your phones email address. So then you can send text messages toy your phone or if you want to send it to other people just have them send you an e mail first so you can save their phones e mail. That's the only way I know of doing that.

  5. yes they can. i use o2 which gives out 10 free texts every month or use www.cbfsms.com but this site sometimes dont work.

  6. Yes We can do it from work it cost 12p per text and we can put who ever we like it say who it is from. We are signed up to website that helps business needs. It takes minutes to send out 1000 messages.

On our system we type in a message then who it is from and it then imports telephone numbers of our data base and sends.

Also if you are signed up to Aol you can send text messages from there the receiver can then text back to your in box within seconds.

  7. Short answer, yes!

  8. Check This Out

    http://www.smscountry.com/

  9. Depends on the phone. But yes. I've sent mails to a friend in Japan many times.

Maybe you're thinking of Skype ?

  10. Telephone (the most convenient on the market): Skype.

Use skype to call from your pc or psp (via internet) any phone number.

    Text Messages: Microsoft Office Outlook.

Using Outlook you'll probably get an ad saying "send sms from outlook", it's from microsoft, but I haven't tried it...

    Good luck.

  11. Yes Skype does it, but you have to have an account and be in credit to do it. It's not a free service. Some ISPs do it as well I believe. It's exactly like you doing it with your phone.
