  1. Generally your gecko should be able to eat moths and grasshoppers. Some people may mention wild caught insects have diseases and parasites, however your gecko's immune system should be healthy enough to kill the parasites and fight of the diseases. All live feeders will host a certain amount of parasites within their bodies.

    The only thing you want to worry about is Pesticides, even if a tiny trace is on a wild caught insect it can affect your pet.

    So a general rule is to keep any wild caught insects for atleast 24 hours and gut loading them with green veggies.

    If they survive for more than 24 hours they are most likely pesticide free as they would have died themselves.  


  2. You shouldn't feed wild insects to any reptile. You don't know if the insects carry diseases, so I really wouldn't risk it.
