I think the game would lag but I'm looking for a cheaper graphics card.

  1. Newegg is a great site to get good stuff cheap.

What you need is a fast motherboard, a dual core processor, high-speed ram, and the best vidoecard you can afford.

Spend less on harddrives and blu-ray burners to make room in your budget for the graphics card. I mean, you don't really need 6x500 GB 12,000 RPM SCSI drives in a RAID 5 striped array... I get by fine with a single 150GB 9600 RPM drive. I keep all my downloaded movies and music on a removable 500 GB 7200 RPM harddrive that I bought a year after I got my computer.

  2. yes if you dont mind running on low.

    a better way:

how much do you want to spend?  Post details and someone will help you to find a good budget card. There are some great deals online if you know where to look.

  3. Crysis will run on a Geforce 9500GT but yes you are correct.. it will lag, unless you set it on the low to medium settings.

I would recommend adding a few more bucks and getting yourself a Geforce 8800GT for around $100-$120. FYI, Crysis is very hardware demanding and it gives a workout on even the best gaming systems out there.
