Can DNA be found and tested almost 30 years later?

I have been researching unsolved true crime stuff and was wondering if you tracked down the vehicle a suspect was using 27 years ago, that may have transported the victim (dead or alive) would it be possible to find DNA of the victim and test it? Or would it be too long?

yes they can find and successfully identify dna from well over 30 yrs! why u done sumthing bad 30 years ago?? lol

They can find dna in prehistoric animals, 30 years isn't anything compaired to that
