Question:

Can Direct TV charge me a cancellation policy?

I subscribed to Direct TV as my cable provider in May. Unfortunately, I'm a poor college student and I can no longer afford cable (I have no time for TV and my TV is 12" or something so its not worth it anyway). Direct TV wants to charge me a $200 dollar cancellation fee. They told me I gave them a "verbal agreement" for cable for 1 year. Can they do this? Is there anyway I can get out of this??

  1. You have to look at your written agreement. If the cancellation fee is not included in the contract you don't have to pay it
