Question:

Can Doug Collins be removed from Kobe's nuts?

Without Kobe, team USA would have dominated last night (like by 30). Kobe missed five open threes, had three turnovers, and got abused on defense by J.C. Navarro and Rudy Fernandez. He was a ball stopper. Kobe should have tried to find D-Wade or D-Will. Instead he constantly forced the action himself. Then he's continually praised for hitting a shot anyone else (save Howard) on the team can hit.

For the tournament Kobe shot only 46% (team 55%). He made 32% of his 3s, with a short 3 point line and a lot of open looks ... yikes. He had only 17 assists to 15 turnovers. Nothing was special about his defense either. Only 9 steals and 4 blocks. By comparison James had 19 steals and 8 blocks. Btw, with Kobe's horrible shooting percentage, he still managed to jack up 20 more shots than anyone else on team USA.

The U.S. won the gold medal due to the outstanding play and leadership of D-Wade and LeBron. No thanks to Kobe!

  1. Look up how he scored 13 points in the 4th quarter. You haters are so pathetic and ignorant. Do you also realize that Kobe played an entire season and the entire playoffs. He's tired as h**l, man. You are just so pathetic man. Unbelievable, you ignorant, immature kids.

  2. all your facts that you noted which you just probably looked up ten min ago doesn't matter Kobe still ha 20 Pt's towards then win and d-wade with 27Pt's, they only won by a couple of Pt's so if you look at the facts for real you will see that without kobe's 20Pt's they would have lost so what your saying is pretty much irrelevant.. as usual.. dont hate just be happy that they won,, they were both the top leading scorers in that game, i didnt see anyone else stepping up,, stop being a hater.. where was lebron in the last game the mot important one? huh oh okay your hush mouth now huh? hes good but kobe killed it in the last game for gold,,, stop crying and put your diaper back on

  3. Quite true. But some of the clutch plays are by Kobe.Like what Reggie Miller says,

"You can start the game by attempting 10 shots and hit all 10.But when the big shot comes, those 10 don't mean anything."

He hit clutch shots and lifted the spirits of the team. When you're biting your nails thinking USA is going to lose,Kobe Bryant comes up behind and makes 4 point play. That's why he's like a hero to the fans.

Like Michael Jordan, his clutch ability is probably the best ever. That's why he's called greatest of all time.If he's not that clutch, then I won't put him in front of the likes of Larry Bird or Magic Johnson.

    Reggie Miller was super-clutch player too.He has no championships,no MVP's.But he's considered a top 5 shooting guard,because?He's clutch.

  4. First of all, yes his Olympic games have not been the best and yes he have been otuplayed by a few players on his own team.

But cmon. Even you cant deny how good he performed down the stretch last nite.  And he didnt even defend Juan Carlos Navarro most of the night, it was Chris Paul who was getting burned by Navarro.  I thought Paul had a horrible game overall.

And your commnet about the three point line being closer, this is a concept many many fans fail to see.  The fact that it is shorter and not like the NBA, plays a psychological game on the shooter where he's a lil uncertain of how hard to shoot anymore.  I was expecting the USA to struggle from the three point line and majority wise they did.

Kobe did save the night yesturday.  I know you cant admit that, but he did.  Yes, he picked up early fouls and were forced to the bench, but he knows how to hit clutch shots and last nite he proved it.  And it did it with shooting and passing down the stretch.

And that 4-point play, if he wasnt "fouled" then it was just a fluid three ball then and he made it.  Stop whining please.
