Can Electromagnetic Waves Be Related to Dowsing? The earth does contain natural electromagnetic waves so would it be impossible for humans to detect things under ground?

  1. All the dowsing instruments I know of (forked sticks, bent rods in tubes, pendulums) are amplifiers; they make very slight movements larger and more obvious. I believe the small movements are subconscious reactions of the dowsers to what they perceive. The subconscious reacts to things that are more numerous, complex, and subtle than the conscious can handle. This _might_ include some way of sensing electromagnetic waves, but there seems to be no good proof of this yet.

  2. No, I'm surprised you asked.

Chaching study study study. You know that 'Remote Viewing' even works under the ocean, or in the great pyramids or even in a Faraday Cage. Dowsing is the same it is not affected by any mechanical construct.

Before you ask the question, remember using a pendulum and dowsing over a map is the same thing. There aren't any magnetic lines under the map are there?

I have dowsed with rods, it was 100% accurate.

  3. You mean the earth's magnetic field?  Large masses of magnetic substances will distort the earth's magnetic field, but no human has shown any ability to detect that. Moreover, water is a diamagnetic substance. However, it remains that nobody has ever demonstrated a dowsing ability when put to the test under conditions where hints, cheating and other experimental bias were eliminated, so it's probably most likely that dowsing ability doesn't exist in the first place.

  4. Hello

I have a Pendulum section in my forum & this is suggested.

As humans we have an electromagnetic layer called the Etheric, so we are very similar to the earth, maybe the same.

    Sadhara

  5. The answer is of course not.Despite the endless boasting we see here.Dowsing is just another phony paranormal claim.

    It's all 100% donkey dust.

  6. Dowsing is just 100% bs

  7. If your dowsing rod is made of a ferromagnetic metal comes in contact with a strong enough electromagnetic field, then yes, it would have an affect.  The question really is what is causing the EM field and is there any reason to believe this is related to any sort of paranormal phenomena.

  8. I don't think it is electromagnetic.

All I can say is that those who dowse believe in it, and those who don't don't believe it.

I dowse with pendulum.  I've found countless missing objects. One of which was an earing lost while cutting a 4 acre paddock. I dowsed for various answers. From the results, I found it was hidden from plain view, was damaged, and the distance and direction to it. I found it in under 5 minutes, and it was hidden under cut grass, and dented from the mower.

I also dowsed for the main water tap for the property - lost since 1950.

I plotted the most likely areas from dowsing results, put a spade in, and hit it 4" under the soil. - The metal covering of it was completely hidden under a mown lawn, and was only 6" square.

    Very good for lost objects.
