I wish England could be floated away from Europe and the rest of the UK and moved next to America. After all,the USA are our best political allies and friends and our lifestyles are the same.Maybe Bill Gates could use his $53 billion to finance this? pleeeeease.

  1. You. Are. An. Idiot.

This ridiculous "special relationship" is between America and the UK. England hasn't acted independently in international politics in years.

Plus, a beautiful green and pleasant land would change. America is a beautiful place, but so is England.

  2. That would be convenient.  I'd love to live in London for a couple of years....

  3. Oh yes, please! We, the continental europeans would be rather pleased!

  4. Israel and UK should move to NY to achieve world peace

  5. The lifestyles of people in England and people in the USA are not the same. In fact, the lifestyles of people just within the USA are incredibly diverse.

The English differ hugely from the USA in their culture -- everything from what's popular on TV to what music they listen to to what sports they watch (and how they watch them) to how they like to spend their weekends. The English have much more in common with Western Europe than they do the USA, outside of language.

As an American who has visited the UK frequently, I'd say I found more people in Scotland, Wales and Ireland that were like the part of the US I grew up than I ever did in England.

  6. As an European we need English to counter some antiamericanism in Europe.

  7. Yes - I'm working on it.

Soon i will hatch my plan to reach the moon and from there Ishall use a very long stick as a lever to place over the moon. I shall then gently pull down on the lever and thereby move England next to America.

Watch for big sticks coming your way

  8. England, no; Scotland yes!

England and the US are very different, and I'd hate to have Londistan close to the US. Too many problems.

However, if we could assume that climate remained the same, so Single Malt flavors didn't change, I'd love to have Scotland close by and easy to visit.
