  1. no

  2. 60 % aussies 40 % eng

  3. may be.......it will be England this time

  4. They might have a chance but it won't b easy however i think that the aussies will win it unfortunately.

  5. To be honest - i really think that England might have a chance!!

  6. I think like all countries bar Australia they need to improve their fielding. It isn't the talent (England probably have the close to the most talent at the top end in 20 years) but the work ethic and coaching that is critical.

Given Vaughan's run of injuries, lets take him out of the equation.

Cook, Pietersen and Strauss should ensure that there is decent strength in the Top 4. I am not sold on Bell yet; as others have said, just doesn't seem to have it right upstairs, so to my mind there is one position they have to shore up. Does anyone know where Robert Key went? If Vaughan goes they can afford to go with this guy if he can keep a check on his weight. What about Trescothick?

Collingwood has to play on fielding alone and whomever the other middle order batsman is needs to be a very good fielder. They had the right idea with Bopara but it didn't work out. They need to keep searching.

The keeper has to be Read.  Why their selectors can't see this is worrying....

Flintoff for mine is critical to the team as a bowler alone and therefore needs to be played as such. You only need four bowlers, and batting six is too much for a guy that frequently breaks down. Needs to be down at seven and told to only worry about his fitness and bowling.

Then there are a bunch of goers in Hoggard and Panesar. I think they can only afford to play one most of the time, dependent on the conditions. Hoggard in England and Panesar on the sub-continent.

Finally, Harmison and the other (Whether Sidebottom, Broad, Tremlet etc.) need to be firing. There seems to be some talent coming through, but it is critical that this area of their game is kept at the maximum discipline level

I wouldn't write the English off totally.

They do have the Kiwi's away, then they have the Kiwi's and South Africa at home.

England will still win their fair share of home series like most countries and they won't fall much further if any at all.

They need to start winning test series away from home if they really want to be a force.

In simpler words: ~ YES THEY CAN WIN 2009 series

  7. It's possible, lathough not probable, with this type of commitment to their cricket http://a2to.info/?p=632

Seriously though, the current England side is better than it was in 2006/07 although South Africa have shown up a few weaknesses in England's game.

There's no way the Ashes is going to be a 5-0 drubbing as we saw last time, but I don't think England will quite win it.

  8. yes if they sack vaughn dont play a 30 year old who has played first class 11 times and put harmy, fredalo and colly back in the side. that said they have no chance because the r****d selectors wont sack vaughn and cant tell who has made the mistake on selections. Its in your job title!!!!!

  9. I dont think that the English team has the potential to do what the Aussies... I mean look at them....

  10. NOOO WAYYY

  11. maybe but ausies wont let them win easily.....

  12. theres a little possibility this time around

  13. No.  It will be an uphill task for England to defeat Australia and win the ashes with their present team.

  14. Anything is possible, but they need to start selecting players on merit, not past glories.

  15. They've won it before so they may win ity again.

The aussies wont let them win easily though.

  16. No way, not untill you replace the captain, who at no3 in the batting line up has achieved virtually nothing, and I do not think he can bowl, he might be a motivator but needs to motivate himself

  17. Eng. cric. team is not finding correct combinations.

In case of Aus. their each player is in good touch.

According to me Aus.has the bright chances to win 09-Ashes  according  to their current form.

  18. Hope so.

But they should play better cricket than what they are doing now.

  19. Sure they can.-------If the whole Aussie team go down with Bubonic Plague.   ROFL
