Can Flies lay eggs if so where?

Question

okay i noticed about 6 flies in my apartment; which was really wierd b/c i never see them....Then the next morning kid you not, it was like twenty.....I freaked out and bleached and cleaned everything....Havent been there two days, b/c I was freaked out.....I go bk and there is like 20 more flies.....I dont have any open windows( which have Screens), nothing is rotten, no kids, nor dogs. please help

You know what always adds charm to an apartment?  A piece of yellow fly tape. :-)

Are they house flies or fruit flies?

As flies eat i believe they can lay eggs, but they start off as maggots i believe. and maybe your neighbors are dirty or have smelly stuff in their house and the flies carry over
