Georgia by itself couldnt, but it all depends on what happens. Hopefully the conflict will be resolved diplomatically, but if not i cant see the US and other nations letting a free nation be taken over by communists.

There is one major road into Georgia and the U.S. has been training the Georgian troops.  Russia can do a ton of damage with their planes but getting through the mountain pass to central Georgia will be bloody.  Russia will use this to exert their dominance.  Europe doesn't dare speak to harshly because Europe is getting too much natural gas from Russia.  I don't know what will happen but it won't be good.

I don't think Russia will take over the whole country, but Georgia can pretty much give up hope of ever conquering South Ossitia and Abkhazia now.

I am not sure what will happen, but I don't think the Bush Administration has the right to interfere, considering they just ruthlessly invaded 2 sovereign nations in the past 8 years (Iraq and Afghanistan) and are threatening to invade a third (Iran).

It appears that the International Zionist bankers are trying to start WWIII and I would say they are successful with agents like Bush in the USA and Putin in Russia.
