no its just an accessory you dont need, u can use one but its not needed and it wont help it unless its inside a cabinet, if you leave the xbox 360 outside in open space you dont need one.

No, it does the exact opposite. The Intercoolers are extremely faulty, and actually suck dust into your console. They cause overheating to happen faster, and have been known to melt to the back of your console, which voids your warranty.

I heard some can make it good for another 2-3 hours of gaming but then i heard some can wreck ur 360.
