  1. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Some guinea pigs will use a litter box, but most will not. Unfortunately, it will be on his or her terms too, not yours. You can put the box in and try it, but don't be surprised if the guinea pig just keeps going wherever. That's just the nature of the beast, so to speak. They are nothing like cats and dogs, or rabbits, for that matter, and therefore, they do not respond like those animals to litter/house training.

In shows, it is not uncommon for the pig to p**p or pee on the judging table...or the judge. ;p

  2. what you do is you  get a litter tray put it in their cage, pour some shavings in it and (this is gross) put some f***s in it. they will go to the washroom their everytime.

  3. unfortunately, guinea pigs aren't the brightest of all animals, but if u really wanted, u could fill a box with urin and see if they go in there. it depends on the pig. some will go in the box and some won't

  4. yes they can it is like training a dog to go out side or training a cat to use the litterbox.

    hope i helped.

    !good luck!

  5. Most guinea pigs can be litter trained, especially if they have the right-sized cage. Most cavies will only go in corners, so a very popular method I've heard of is to get those corner litter pans, put one in each corner after changing the bedding, put a different bedding than the main one in the litter pan and put a little used bedding (urine and f***s included!) in each litter pan. They should start only going in those, and eventually, one by one, you can take out each litter pan and leave it with just one. Some piggies will catch on quickly, some will take a little longer, and some just won't learn. Hang in there and keep at it!
