  1. HPV is not known to cause PID.

PID is caused by prolonged infections like Gardnerella (causes bacterial vaginosis), Chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis and in rare cases yeast infections. All of these infections produces a local inflammation, which if left unchecked can cause a buildup of scar tissue. The scar tissue damages the Fallopian tubes making it hard for an egg to float through the reproductive tract. Scarring can also damage the uterus, making implanation or gestation difficult.

HPV is known to cause cervical cancer, as well as cancers of the p***s, a**s and r****m. It has also recently been linked to oral cancers. And yes, HPV even causes genital warts. If you are under the age of 27, you can get vaccinated with Gardasil, which protects against 4 strains of HPV that cause 70% of all cervical cancers and 90% of all genital warts.
