Question:

Can Heath Ledger still be in the new Batman sequel?

Alright, i know this sounds ridiculous at first, but hear me out....

It is quite possible that Nolan can put Ledger in the upcoming Batman sequel, a la footage that was either deleted, cut, or just not used in The Dark Knight, and try to manufacture it into the plot of the sequel somehow. This would be logistically very difficult to do of course, but keep in mind, Nolan chose to keep the Joker alive in the film and Ledger's death was months in advance of TDK's release, so they could have easily cut out some footage from the already 2.5 hour film in order to pull this off. What do you think?

  1. umm, no. he's dead

  2. i dont think they will. he did an excellent job, and its a shame, but unfortunately, i think they are gonna find a low budget sub!

  3. Um no because they've already come out and said that the Joker is not going to be the protagonist in the next film.  It's going to be another batman nemesis.  They said Johnny Depp might do it, but he might have turned it down.

  4. First of all... the Dark Knight was the Sequel to "Batman Begins", so the third movie is really the Third installment of the series..

But yeah... it's very possible... of course it wouldn't be a major role... but a scene of him behind bars saying something dramatic ("rah rah rah... chaos will reign supreme... rah rah rah...) could have a powerful impact...

then there's the idea of Harley...

As batman fans know, Harley Quinn is the Jokers lovable sidekick.  She meets the joker as his psychiatrist while he is incarcerated in arcame insane asylum.

So........ maybe a quick scene of him talking to a woman who then starts terrorize gotham in his name?  Depending on where the director is choosing to get most of his material for plot, there could even be some ideas pulled from the "batman beyond" series in which there is an entire Joker Gang, perhaps led by a certain insane psychiatrist.

it's impossible to tell for sure... the rumors of a third movie still haven't totally been confirmed (aside from some slipped comments that merely helped to spread what is still rumor).  We'll see in good time though...

  5. no he couldnt

they could prolly get a look alike but thats not the same.. i barely would have guessed that he was the joker except for the fact it was all over the news.. he had amazing acting in that movie but not many can compare.

it would been way to much work for them to take the extra footage of heath.. but there is only one way to find out what they will decide for sure

  6. I don't think they should do that.  The third movie will probably feature a new villain anyway.

  7. It is entirely possible. But definetly not probable. Im sure its been done before, but Christopher Nolan has already announced that they will not be revising the role of the Joker.

  8. good job by redeeming yourself by explaining but no i don't think it would work out cause his lines would have to follow the script and not only that but the tome of voice differs from each  situation you know what i mean

  9. i dont think so..he died. so they wouldnt be able to do new scenes with him in it. so theyll either get a new actor, or not make a sequal

  10. first off nolan kept the film the way it was to honor health ledger thats why it remained unchanged even after his death, so thats why he was kept alive. and there was apparently only 30 minutes of deleted scenes, and not alot of those will be able to get worked into another brand new plot for the third one.

i know what your thinking, and i respect it, but it just wouldnt work.

dont worry though their will be a third one, because bale is under contract for three movies. and it will probobly have the riddler or black mask in it.

  11. he killed him self bt od'ing and for the movie he already starting filming they hiered johnny depp and 2 other guys to play his character
