  1. There is no prohibition that a former President can run as Vice-President.  Thus, Bill Clinton can run as a Vice-President.

  2. Bill Clinton cannot be VP, its in the constitution. Also, he has been disbarred from the Federal Supreme Court System as well as the State of Arkansas. Why would you want an attorney who lost his license to practice law for criminal activity as VP? Or his wife for president for that matter!!!

  3. The People choose the VP by electing him.  The President or candidate can name his preference but that's it. There is no Constitutional prohibition about a former President serving as VP.

First of all it would be demeaning but the Clinton's are certainly vulgar enough to do it regardless of its effect on the country.

Maybe they could choose Monica as Secretary of State.

  4. No!

  5. I thought he could, since the 22nd Amendment states that a person can only be ELECTED to the Presidency twice, but I stand corrected by Booman, who pointed us to the 12th Amendment. He is absolutely right about that. Bill could not be Vice President.

Chosing Bill for VP would be political suicide for Hillary, anyway. It may be that she is already too divisive to be elected President even if nominated. Having Bill as a running mate would seal the doom of her candidacy, and both she and Bill are smart enough to know that.

  6. It depends on one's interpretation of the Constitution.

Amendment XII states that "no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice President".

Amendment XXII states that "no person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice".

It appears that Bill Clinton would be ineligible to be ELECTED to the office of president again. However, the Constitution doesn't bar him from succeeding to the office. Thus, Bill Clinton is not barred from election to the Vice Presidency because he is not ineligible to be President. He is, according to Amendment XXII, only ineligible to be ELECTED President.

  7. Incredible!  I actually learned something tonight.  The 22nd Amendment forbids Bill from being elected to a third term.  The 12th Amendment states that those ineligible to be President cannot be Vice President.   A logical interpretation would state that Hill couldn't have Bill as a VP.  However, there are those who will quibble that the 12th deals with qualifications and the 22nd deals with electability.  Until Bill is nominated and Hill/Bill elected and the Supreme Court steps in, we will never know which interpretation will win.

So, in answer to your question, yes...but it's up to the Court.

  8. No. She'll probably go for Monica or Tony Blair; it all depends!

  9. As he is not a running candidate I would think not....but I am in the UK so I could be wrong

  10. No. The 12th Amendment states that you must be eligible for the Presidency to be the Vice President. The 22nd Amendment limits the terms of an individual to 2 terms, which Bill has already served, so he is ineligible for the Vice Presidency.

  11. I think she wants herself to be the VP! No one, in her eyes, is capable of the job.

  12. I think so then Hillary will die a strange Death and the Dark Lord Sith of the UnderWorld Darth Bubba Clinton will be in charge of the Republic ONCE MORE!

  13. No. Its scary enough that she might be president, but to add bill as VP..well that would be God awful
