Can I Adjust My Canadian Visitors Visa

Question

I'm a Jordanian national, so I know I need a visitor's visa to get to Canada. If I do get one, can I eventually adjust it to a work permit or an immigration visa before it expires? Also, does having family and a business give enough proof that one would not overstay a visa?

A visitor visa cannot be changed to something else once you arrive in Canada.  You will have to exit Canada when the visa expires as per your original agreement.

Yes, family and a career in your home country are proof that you will not overstay. A deed to real estate or bank accounts are good proof too.
