My company that i have been working for 10 years is up and moving 70 miles away in the next 5 weeks. I cannot afford to go with them but they did offer me to keep my job.

Am i able to collect unemployment if i can't afford to make the move with them? I can't find the laws in Mass. if anyone knows a link? Thanks!

  1. I don't think you can collect unemployment if you quit, only if you get terminated.

  2. Here's the link. My suggestion, apply and see what happens. or call them.

  3. This is normally an acceptable reason for getting benefits. Many companies that are moving offer current employees a job, just to keep qualified workers.
