  1. no snooker tables are bigger than pool tables

  2. No...snooker tables are much larger than regular pool tables and the pockets are smaller as well.

  3. no

  4. Putting the size issue aside, yes it is physically possible to have it done.  The only real difference between one and the other aside from size is the rails.  The rails on a snooker table are rounded at the ends instead of the flat angles you find on a pool table.  You'll need to replace the rails, and in doing so you have to replace the cloth on them so just re-cloth the whole table.  Contact the maker of your table, some companies (Connelly for instance) make both and will be able to get you rails that you can just replace the whole thing.

An English snooker table is 12x6 an American snooker table will typically be 10x5, if you have a 9' table it might not be too bad, but if you have a 7', I wouldn't make the change.

  5. Sort of. You can buy snooker balls that are the proper size for a pool table. Just do a search for 2 1/4" snooker balls, they're not hard to find.

If you want to make the pockets smaller there are pocket reducers you can buy, but they are meant for practice and won't play like an actual snooker table. They will make it harder to pocket balls though.

You'll need to put the proper markings on the table as well, just make sure you scale them down proportionally to the size of your table.
