Can I Drive Without My Licence or Practical Pass Certificate?

I just passed my driving test the other day and i said i would send off the certificate to the DVLA along with my previsional licence to get my Full licence.

I have just realised if I do that i will have no evidence that im legaly able to drive if i was stopped etc. from when I send my Certificate off (the only evidence i have passed) and recieve my Full licence.

Am I still able to drive in this time (they said it could take a month for my full licence to come)???

Should I make a photocopy of my certificate just to be sure???

  1. Be on the safe side, make a copy & keep it...

  2. Do the sensible thing and make a photo copy of your licence and your pass certificate, the few pence that it will cost could save you a lot of hassle.

    Drive Carefully.

  3. Nobody can drive without a valid license. Make what You will of that.

  4. no no need 4 a copy mate stop being so paranoid you probably wont get stopped an if you do the dvla already have your details

  5. You can still drive, I don't see the point in photocopying it, just write down your driver number, the police can contact the DVLA  to check if you get pulled.

If you are still worried, then photocopy it.

  6. You are able to drive, however If the Police happen to ask you to pull your car over, and allow them to conduct checks, when they ask for your licence, itll be your word against theirs.

    The answer is = Yes

  7. yes and congrats

  8. Photocopy the certificate.  Carry it with when you drive. Congratulations on passing you test....  : )
