  1. Yes. You stay in school. When i was 15 I was thinking the same way, but your best years are ahead of you and school can be the most fun of your life, especially college. Plus, getting a degree will help you be much more successful in your future. If you attempt to drop out, I 100% guarantee you'll regret it one day.

  2. i dropped out in jr year and to be honest it never bothered me till i wanted to get a decent paying job..at least go get your GED while the info is still fresh in your head

  3. why don't u try home education u don't have to do so much work. i live in the UK and I'm home educated and i only have to do 2 hours work a day.

  4. I recommend reading "The Teenage Liberation Handbook" by Grace Llewelyn.

I don't know the law in the UK, but there must be some way out of school.

I was bored in school most of my early life, this is why my kids are unschooled.  They have better things to do with their time.

    Good luck :D

  5. Don't go to school if you don't want to. But you should take your GED. You can take the test without even studying if you're smart. The test only takes one day to do, and then you're done. You could also go to a community college in a few years if you want and get in with only a GED.

I think you have to wait until you're 16 though and have your parents written consent to drop out. I dropped out when I was 16, got my GED, and now i'm a college junior (I'm 22).

Personally I'm glad I didn't go through with H.S. If you're smart you can do without it. But definitely get your GED if you want a decent job and you want to go to community college one day.

I linked to a page with a zine called "dropping out for students" it has tips on how to drop out and live the way you want to live. You have to print it out first and then put it together if you want to read it - because its in the order that its supposed to be stapled (sorry!)

(This is directed at that guy below me...)

As for the guy who says he'll end up a no-good couch potato: Who is more active, the person who drops out and travels and lives the way they want to- or the person who sits at a desk all day working a 9-5 job till his death? Yeah, I thought so.

  6. sure...but i wouldn't recommend it.

  7. don't go 2 skool if you hate it, your parents shouldn't run your life.

    Peace

    :-)

  8. You could go for a GED and get your high school diploma that way. Other than that it depends on where you live, some states have different rules on the age to drop out etc.

Right now you may not care but later you will, you need your diploma one way or the other. If you don't have that your gonna have a VERY hard time getting a job.

  9. Don't be an idiot.  Stay in school!

Take a look at your goals in life!  If you want a dead end job, little future and never want to travel or have your home paid for and just work until you die (IF you are lucky and they don't shift the dead end job to India or China) then you can drop out.

Not getting a good education is like a runner cutting off his legs!  Make it interesting!  Choose a goal!  Don't just be an idiot couch potatoe watching sitcoms and working 40 years to pay off the mortgage or dying first!

If you aim at a goal you may get there no matter what it is, if you drop out and aim at nothing... you will get nothing!  God didn't put you on this earth to produce nothing but carbon dioxide!

  10. O.K. Fine ruin your life. Its ok people will be laughing when they see you working at a fast food resturant, wait a minut you have to finish high school in order to work there! haha

If you hate school than go and be homeschoold. You know you can do school through the computor at home. You don't need your parent to help you at all. I love the 21 century.

  11. im 14 i diont go to school have been out a year, it wrecked my life (Y)

  12. everybody will have their views bt u should go to school if u dont want to go then also coz without school itz nothing. if u dont want to go to school then accept it as a challenge nd try to do ur best but schooling is the must....
