Can I Play XBOX 360 Live Wireless with just a Modem or do I also need a wireless router?

I have a 360 and all with the wireless adapter so yeah...

you probably need a wireless router/adapter. i have that going on and it works pretty good. You can probably get a router from your cable/internet provider, and you can get the adapter from a wal-mart or any gaming/electronics store.

my only advise is if it stops working/ restart the router and it should work fine.

You cannot wirelessly connect a 360 to anything without an adapter. Unless Microsoft has started shipping them with one built in, which (somehow) I highly doubt, you'll either need the adapter or an ethernet cable. (There is one provided with the 360 if you buy it from Microsoft.)

You need a router to send the modem's signal to the 360. Either that or you have to plug into the modem with an ethernet cable. I use mine wirelessly. I go through a gateway, which is a modem and router in one. Very convenient.

Here you get that router the second video was talking about and a powerline adapter.  This also has wireless for future laptops and other devices you need the mobile freedom with.  An xbox just sits in one place, so I suggest you go with the reliable method of powerline
