Can I Put a VHS On DVD?

ok, now my mum has come back from holiday and she has made videos using a camcorder and has tranfered it to a proper VHS tape. Now im wondering, is there anyway of putting this VHS on a DVD.

I don't have a DVD recorder put have a P.C with a DVD-RW drive.

can it be done via the P.C????

If so what do i need (any computer ports, computer cards,free software if available) etc

  1. you can buy a device that does it, go onto i want one of those.com they sell devices that covert anything into dvd/digital


  2. You need a special card for your computer that converts AV signals so they can be recorded as movie files on your computer. You usually get basic video editing software bundled with it.

    On there website it says "from any video source" so Im sure you can do it staright from your VHS player, but you might want to double check with the manufactures/shop before you buy it.

    The Ebay one looks like a generic chinese copy, hence the £9.50 12 day postage.
