Can I Sue NBC for Playing those Promos Exclaiming "LIVE" Events on the West Coast?

I'm serious, I am not joking. Only serious answers.

Nowhere on the ads does it say "except on the west coast" They are totally advertising falsely.

Plus how they leave the "live" graphic on the screen on the west coast during the events.

What legal recourse can I pursue?

Ok lets get smart. It's live from Beijing China which is a 15 hour difference from the west coast of the USA. Check out this world time zone map. No law suit  for you.

No, but you can ask the Federal Trade Commission to investigate the false advertising, which can cost $11,000 per violation.  It is fraud to advertise something as "live" and then show a delayed show, and anyone who doesn't think viewers are paying for TV has never heard of ratings.

None.  You have not been damaged.  Just annoyed.  That's not a lawsuit.

It is not false advertising. False advertising is if they advertised something and you bought it based on that advertising and then what they advertised proved to be false.

If you are getting your NBC from an antenna they you haven't paid anything. If you are getting your news from cable then you would have to prove that you purchased cable specifically for that "LIVE" broadcast and were let down.

Your answer is that you have no legal recourse. I am honestly amazed you think you came up with something NBC's hundreds of lawyers missed.

EDIT: Sue for your time. It would be small claims court considering you are on YA asking legal questions.

If you can find an attorney to take the case, you can sue.  They usually give a disclaimer for the West coast.
