  1. Don't be stupid.  What you are considering is fraud which is a criminal offense.  Anyway, most insurers will not add on comprehensive and collision coverage without a pre-inspection of the vehicle.

FYI - hitting a deer is a comprehensive loss.

  2. fooling is fraud i wouldnt attempt this

  3. People try buying insurance AFTER an accident every day.  People get caught trying to buy insurance AFTER an accident every day.  If the agent does his job, as he is supposed to do it, he will inspect your car before binding coverage anyway.  Don't try it !

  4. I wouldn't try it.  Your insurance company may want to look at the car before they switch you over, and then you are hosed.

  5. insurance fraud, and you can get caught..  they have ways of proving the age of an accident..

You either have to wait a long period of time after you get the new coverage (which would be bad because it makes it more and more obvious the dmg was old)

or you have to claim it right after you get the insurance (good luck with not getting caught)

    Insurance fraud is a felony.

are you prepared to do prison time and have high rates forever?

  6. You do know that is insurance fraud, I presume?  Getting caught costs you the full amount of any repairs that were actually done, a fine that can be anywhere from the same amount to several times that amount, and a criminal record.  Any claim made after an insurance upgrade is seriously investigated.  You would be surprised how investigators can determine when some damage was done, and no, I am not going to tell you how.  I am an insurance broker, and telling you information like that would be unethical, and against the requirements of my licence.  You took your chance, didn't pay the premium, now the damages are your problem.

Think about it, can you buy home insurance after the fire starts?  Can you buy health insurance while being wheeled into the operating room?

  7. No, you cant. To obtain full coverage you will need a photo inspection. Meaning, they want you to take pictures of your car the day you changed your policy to full coverage. So people dont do what your trying to do.

  8. No.  That is insurance fraud and can result in serious punishments.  Suck it up and accept the responsibility for not thinking ahead when choosing the cheapest option on your auto insurance.  If you can't afford it walk, ride a bike, or use public transportation until you can.
