  1. I doubt it will work.  If you can find it, I use EMT ointment for it....I have tried multiple other products that either didn't work, or took forever to resolve the infection. You have to keep the affected area dry..clean the sores, rinse, and be sure the area is totally dry before applying any medication.  The EMT is superior because it adheres so well...it is sticky like a glue so it stays on and keeps moisture out.  Use your fingernails to scratch under the hair above the area to feel for more sores, and scratch off the crusts before you apply the EMT....all of this after you clean and dry the area thoroughly.

ADD....Furall is not a sweat....it is an antibacterial, which means it inhibits the growth of bacteria.

  2. No. Furall actually is whats called a sweat. You put it on an old injury you want to draw heat to such as a bowed tendon or a sprained muscle. You lather it on cover it with plastic and then wrap it for the night.

Not to mention Furall is quite toxic and can cause cancer. Read the back label if you don't belive me.

Try something like vasiline or triple antibiotic oitment instead.

  3. id talk to your vet before making any final decisions on products but one thing i can say is to make sure your horse is staying in DRY conditions or it will either not go away or come right back.
