Hey Y'all...

Im Considering Studying At Orange Coast CollegeNext Year To Gain My Undergraduate Degree, However, I Was Wondering, As A Prospective International Student, Would I Be Eligible To Apply For A Part Time Job To Help Fund My Education/Room & Board Costs, Etc, Whilst I'm Over In The US...

  1. You need to get a work visa.  To get that, you need a sponsor that will vouch for you to the government.  I think there are exceptions, like work-study programs at the university.  You need to ask them.  You can get one while in the US.


  2. As an international student you are only permitted to 20 hours per week and this employment must be carried out on-campus.

    No off-campus employment is permitted for international students so working in a bar, restaruant or any such place is a no, no.

    Contact the appropiate department at your college for a list of on-campus employment.
