I am an efficient senior pediatrician called to attend interview by MOH Saudi Arabia. One of the agents advised me not to attend on the ground that I am 56 years and at this age they will not give visa in Saudi Embassy. My interview is on 19th in Bangalore. I am in dilemma to attend or not to attend the interview. Can you guide me on the VISA regulations of Saudi embassy especially regarding the age factor?

  1. I would strongly suggest and like to encourage you to attend for the interview.  Since you are applying for the medical field, the age factor will not be a primary issue for you.  As per the Saudi visa regulation, the maximum age limit for the expatriate employee is 60 years.

For the medical practitioners, Saudi Arabia has not been succeeded yet in the manner of localization.  So your field is still having a high potentiality.

    All the best.

  2. Saudi Arabia is working through numerous social issues, including "Saudiazation" to replace Third Country National employees with Saudi citizens.  Age is a criterion.  However, there are exceptions to the rules, and the health field is one of them.  In this case, your experience would probably outweigh the age and nationality issues.

Surely the Saudi MOH already knows your age from your CV.  If so, and they are requesting an interview with you, then your age should not be an issue.  The bottom line is that if the MOH wants you in Saudi Arabia, then they will be responsible for arranging your papers to live and work in Saudi Arabia.
