  1. If  you mean, can you access your router from Internet Explorer (your web browser) in nearly all cases yes you can. They usually all have a web server built in.  Try these addresses... if they dont work... tell us the brand of router and we can give you the real IP for it.

http://192.168.1.1   Linksys default and some netgear

    http://192.168.1.254   2wire default

http://192.168.0.1   Dlink and some Netgear default

http://192.168.2.1  some other brands default IP

    http://192.168.10.1  Many older Motorola routers

    and

    http://10.0.0.1   some other routers

(these are all local addresses for your internal machines)

If you REALLY mean you want to access it from outside your home over the internet - you just need to access it locally and enable "Remote Mangement"   if you do that you be very very sure you set a real password -- 20 or more characters and no dictionary words!!!!

ADD: OK, if its Netgear. WHAT model.  Netgear is one who uses various different defaults.  Here is the list from the support site.

  2. try to reset the router or access from the web interface.

  3. Not sure what you mean.

No one can delete a router....only the connection settings.

If you need you can reset it (there is usually a button on the back you can press with the power off and it will reset to the default settings. Then depending on the brand you can use the default IP address to access it and set it back up.

Default IP is something like 192.168.1.0 or 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 just put one of these in the adress bar of you web browser.

  4. The only way to do that would to be by hardwiring to the router and enabling wireless login. As for accessing by internet. Then you would need to get to a computer that IS hardwired to the router, and use a program like logmein. You could then use your computer connected remotely to configure it. But if you do that make sure that you get it right the first time cause as soon as you hit save changes your router is gonna reset, and kill your connection to your PC. So, if it goes down and don't come back up..then there is no reconnecting.

  5. Which windows system do you run? You should be able to go back in and set your computer back a few days before the deletion. Go through System Restore. Normally found in start>accessories> system tools> system restore.

Then your router should be there again.
