  1. You need to set up a few things:

    1. The network

    2. The file sharing

    1. The network is probably the trickiest thing to do, but under a Mac, it's pretty simple. Are they both located on the same network already? For example, are they both pluggued on your router? If so, then that part is done.

If not, then create a network. Under the Mac, both should have a wireless card. So under your System Preferences, click Network. Then click your Airport card, select the Network drop down, then Create a network. Follow the instructions to create a network on computer A, then from computer B, connect to that network.

    2. Next, you need to share the files. First, make sure that your file sharing is activated (System Preferences -> Sharing) then click the File Sharing checkbox.

After this is done, place your shared documents in the Public folder (this is the easiest way). So in your Finder, click on your Macintosh HD -> Users -> shared user. Then copy-paste the information there.

Your friend should then be able to access the files there.

    Good luck!
