Can I achieve a Harvard Intellect from Devry Online?

You can achieve a Harvard Intellect simply by reading the books in the library and discussing them with intelligent people who know the subject matter. It's simply easier to get that "Harvard intellect" if you're guided by knowledgeable tutors/professors. It's all in the quality of the materials, and your ability to master them.

With that said, Devry isn't a well respected school, no. For the price... you could do a lot better.

If you want a Harvard intellect, and you must go online, why not go to something closer to a Harvard-level institution, online? So rather than Devry, consider:

- University of London, via their extension programme

- Carnegie Mellon

- Rensselaer Polytechnic

- Penn State U

- U Maryland

- Worcester Polytechnic

- UMass Amherst

- Rochester Institute of Technology

- Northeastern

- Boston University

All of which offer degrees via distance, and all of which are highly respected institutions of learning. Some of them rank up there with Harvard (CM, RPI are top 50 and certainly U of London is one of the best ranked unis in the world), while others are a step below, but still among the top 50-100 universities in the US. Not bad.

no way.  a lot of what you learn in college happens in the classroom with face to face contact with your profs and discussions that happen in class.
