Can I add a second computer to another outlet on my dsl line without a router?

My home computer is set up on my home land line using dsl.  I have a spare computer.  Can I hook that up to another outlet and share the dsl account and line without a router ?

  1. two modems on one line wouldn't work, the best thing you could do is get yourself wireless, The cost of equipment is now reasonable.


  2. No. Sorry, You would need a Router or a second modem (which is unpractical).

  3. You can only have one connection to your DSL Modem.  After that every connection just needs to connect to the MODEM not to the Wall port.  What every you use to get onto the internet (modem or switch or what) you need to configure this for the second computer, or buy something to hook up to this.
