Can I add a wireless sensor for my thermostat to measure the temperature in another room?

I have a thermostat in the appartment located in the corridor. The problem is that the temperature in the corridor is the one that determines how warm it is in the bed room.

Could I add a device in the bedroom that I could tie in to the thermostat so that this remote thermometer would communicate the temperature to the thermostat?

  1. You could run small gage wire (20 ga wire, like doorbell wire) from the existing location to the new location for the thermostat and it will work just fine.  Problem is making the wire run look decent.  Possibly X10 has an answer.  Try looking here to see if you find something:

  2. No just relocate the thermostat, but in an apartment, there is not much you can do without the permission of your landlord.Suggest it to them.
