Can I add more fish now?

Question

I set up our 29 gallon tank a week ago Thursday and added 4 zebra danios last Sunday.

Can I add more fish this weekend?

I was thinking of tetras.

Yes, you should be able to add more fish. Algae Eaters are good cleaning fish. Make sure you don't add too many fish. Have 1 inch of fish per a gallon. So 29 inches of fish.

So far your doing very good. ecept adding 4 fishes. add 3 fish at the most. and yes you can add more fish as long as you add them 1-3 at a time

yes i think you are about ready to add maybe 2 fish this time.

but if you are gonna get tetras then get like 3 or 4 at the most for right now then add some more later. they like big groups.

u mean sucker fish? haha yeah they clean the tank. i would suggest getting 2 Dwarf Sucker Catfish (Otoclinus affinis) they get up like 2 inches maybe bigger...not sure.

you can, but you definitely shouldn't add any more fish

why? because your tank is in the early stages of cycling

the fishes you have already, will be going through a lot of stress

and regular water changes are essential in this time

once your tank is cycled, you can add more fishes

as for what you can add:

if you danios survive, add at least 2 more of them, they're schooling fish

6 cardinal tetras

6 rummy nose tetras

3 Cory cats

3 otocinclus

Ya you should be able to add some more fish. Coradoras Catfish are EXCELLENT cleaners. The gravel is spotless even after you over feed. They would just eat the leftovers of the danios. Their really active hardy fish. Semi Cheap. About 3-$4. But they are schoolers so get at least 3. Mine are constantly playing games. And they are really peacful! But if you want to breed fish they'll eat the eggs.
